Decatur – Bill R. Terrell Sr., 55, of Decatur passed away at 11:29 p.m., Nov. 27, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

 

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be at 1:00p.m., Friday Dec. 3, 2010 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, Latham, IL.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bill was born September 25, 1955 in Marked Tree, Arkansas the son of Thornton and Josephine (Call) Terrell.  He married April G. McCarty on November 23, 1974.  She preceded him in death on August 22, 1992. He then married Ruth L. Belk on September 7, 2002.  Bill was a truck driver and was a country western musician. He was an avid pool player and a member of the APA.

 

Surviving is his wife: Ruth of Decatur; children: Dawn Boliek and her husband Gene, Billy Terrell Jr. and his wife Lori, Robin Goodbred and her husband Robert, Rachel Terrell all of Decatur and Johnny Terrell and his fiancé Tracee of Mt. Pulaski, step sons: Robert Walker and his wife Melissa of Camp Pendleton, CA and Jonathan Trusner of Decatur;  Brothers: Richard Terrell of Decatur, Dave Terrell and his wife Virginia of Decatur and Joe Terrell of Floraville, IL ; Sisters: Katie Massie and Kathleen Lee both of Decatur; Grandchildren: David Terrell, Courtney Anderson, Kristen Anderson, Dylan Terrell, Jacob Goodbred, Jayson Goodbred, Avery Drake, Dakota Terrell, Alyisa Lynch, April Lynch, William Terrell, Ciera Terrell, Derik Terrell all of Decatur and Nathan Walker of Camp Pendleton, CA.  Also surviving is a close family friend John Quick and his wife Gina of Decatur.

 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, one brother and one grandson.

Sincere condolences to the Terrell family.  I worked with Bill for nearly 5 years in Decatur and am deeply saddened by his passing.  He was a great guy and will be missed very much!
